Hello,

I've recently updated my DSpace to 1.5 and I've also been trying to install the
handle server. I did everything as in the documentation, but the way the
handles are being resolved is really odd and I'm confused.
First of all, what is the main DSpace 1.5 UI webapp? Is it still called dspace
or did it become jspui? I thought it was jspui (although tomcat still lists the
old dspace application) and I've been using http://cityknowledge.org:8080/jspui
as my DSpace main page (and I made sure to change the dspace_url in the config
file).
When I installed the handle server and updated the handles all my communities
and collections were reassigned correctly and can be seen with no problem at,
for example, http://cityknowledge.org:8080/jspui/handle/10343/28. However,
whenever I try to see an item, I get an internal error, for example
http://cityknowledge.org:8080/jspui/handle/10343/37. I thought that the handle
server wasn't really resolving the handles, but then I (almost accidentally)
found out that if I went to
http://cityknowledge.org:8080/dspace/handle/10343/37 (the other webapp dspace,
rather than jspui) I can see all the items with no problem, but not the
communities/collections.
So I started to ask myself if I wasn't wrong from the beginning in using jspui
as the main DSpace UI web application. Or would there be a way of fixing my
handle server to allow the items to be found in the jspui webapp?
Sorry if this is kind of a stupid question, but any help would be greatly
appreciated.

Thanks,

Ilan
