Hi Sathyamoorthy, in order to activate full text search you should run [dspace]/bin/filter-media as a cron job. This will extract the text of the bitstreams and make it searchable.
If you got very large bitstreams you may also adjust this setting in dspace.cfg search.maxfieldlength = 10000 Setting it to search.maxfieldlength = -1 will be unlimited. This will need more memory so you may have to increase the memory used in [dspace]/bin/dsrun java -Xmx256m -classpath $FULLPATH "$@" hope that helps Claudia sathya moorthy schrieb: > Dear DSpace community, > i want to search contents from inside a file. is there any guide for that? > if anybody has please send. > i am using DSpace-1.5 version, i am also expecting DSpace-1.4.2 version. > > Thank you, > > Sathyamoorthy K > Junior research Fellow > Open Technology Centre > chennai > > > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------ > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Sponsored by: SourceForge.net Community Choice Awards: VOTE NOW! > Studies have shown that voting for your favorite open source project, > along with a healthy diet, reduces your potential for chronic lameness > and boredom.
