Is not that easy, unfortunately those scripts are sensitive to the last modified timestamps on the items, and it just doesn't work that cleanly to update the search indexes if your manipulating the db underneath the covers like this. Instead you'll want to completely rebuild your search and browse indexes with index-init when your doing such a low level manipulation.
