The name you choose to 'expose' DSpace as part of the URL is optional, and
it would probably be best to keep it as what it used to be (less updating
work for everyone, and it ensures your repository continues to get
harvested).
How you do this depends on how you deploy DSpace in Tomcat:
- Define a Context in Tomcat's server.xml:
<Context path="/dspace-oai" docBase="[dspace]\webapps\oai" debug="0"
reloadable="true" cachingAllowed="false" allowLinking="true"/>
- Symbolically link [dspace]/webapps/oai to [tomcat]/webapps/:
ln -s /dspace/webapps/oai/ /tomcat/webapps/dspace-oai
- Copy the webapp directory into Tomcat's webapp folder:
cp -R /dspace/webapps/oai/ /tomcat/webapps/dspace-oai
In each case, make sure you use the destination of 'dspace-oai' rather than
just 'oai'.
