Francois,
You need to run the dsrun script from your installation directory
(i.e. D:\dspace\bin\dsrun), not the source tree.

Although it seems that src is NOT in CLASSPATH, when I add it, it

PS: I forgot to mention that plain 1.4.2 buildpath.bat does not
work on my Windows 2000: I had to change
set DSPACE_CLASSPATH=%DSPACE_CLASSPATH%;%~s1
into
set DSPACE_CLASSPATH=%DSPACE_CLASSPATH%;%1
