I will note that there is a known problem with some handle server versions - which I believe includes the one that 'ships' with DSpace - that the handle server will take 100% CPU utilization on a day when the logs are configured to rollover. This is fixed in the latest handle versions. Although we know that we can't simply ship the latest version for everyone due to the terms of use changes. I think we need to ensure (if possible) that the latest versions of the handle.jar are in the Maven repository, along with the 'standard' version, and make it easier - possibly even through a profile - for people to simply switch to the newer versions, without having to go through the Maven artifact installation routine.
