We have successfully implemented DSpace in our organization's (JSW Steel Ltd.) library knowledge centre, as an intranet site.
[ setup--DSpace 1.4.2-JSPUI, Oracle 10g, RHEL-AS-rel4 ].Another new need from our other manufacturing company, is to have a 'Document Mgmt System', to manage their Autocad drawings, across their departments, with an approval workflow (this 'submission' is possible in DSpace)
Main question- *is it possible to change the main metadata fields* (subject, title, author, etc) to something else (document number, drawing number, etc), as they have a document codification to base their search/browse. This is *to avoid some input metadata items fields like title, author*;
In other words, I *want to have new metadata for our collection submission*.I did read Stuart's good tutorial module 'metadata input customisation', but need more clarity.
