Hi Jochen,

if you are using tomcat, which version and what is your setting for 
URIEncoding in server.conf? There has been an issue with tomcat 5 which 
made it necessary to set it to UTF-8.

As for 1.5.1 with jspui. This is a test instance
https://eldorado2.uni-dortmund.de/dspace151cj2
of 1.5.1 with just cosmetic (css) changes and the search works fine.
