Hi,

This is going to be a solution suitable for everyone, and has the
obvious limitations that using Google Analytics always has (e.g. it
doesn't track file downloads etc), but it is possible to export
statistical data from Google Analytics, and display this on each item
splash page:

in-dspace/
(or http://bit.ly/15nsI8 )

Thanks,

Subject: Re: [Dspace-general] [Dspace-tech] How to improve
statisticaldata gathering and reporting?

Any further discussion?

I've put up the skeleton of a page on the wiki to capture these ideas as
they jell:

  http://wiki.dspace.org/index.php/Statistical_Improvements_for_v1.6

My thanks to those who have written, or found me at OR09 to talk about
statistics. I haven't done your thoughts justice with the above page,
but it's a start. Please discuss.
