Mika & Alexandre: There is a widely adopted set of conventions for expressing search results in standard formats called OpenSearch - http://www.opensearch.org Mark Wood and I wrote an implementation for DSpace that includes RSS and Atom, and is available on both the JSP and XML UIs. We hope to have it included in the 1.6 release if there is interest from the community in doing so.
