Hello guys I'm really havine a problem with LDAP settings the problem that users can only login with their display names not usernames. CN= display name sAMAccountName= netid for example (*CN= Ahmad Ali Al-Zubi , and sAMAccountName=aalzubi)*
dspace works only when I use CN for *ldap.id_field=cn* , but when I set it this way *ldap.id_field=sAMAccountName* it doesnt work at all please if any one can help so do assist me and tell me how to make dspace take *sAMAccountName* for *ldap.id_field.* we have DSpace 1.5.2 installed and I think I have all setting correct as it is explained in the manual. Does the Hierarchical LDAP settings help with that? or they only help when users are spreaded all over the DC and not in one OU? and if it is possible please do send me a copy of your dspace configuration file to match it with ours. thank you in advance all current ldap settings are in the attached file -- Best Regards Dr Ahmad Al-Zubi KSU Repository Project Manager King Saud University Saudi Arabia
