You are experiencing the problem i was having on my dspace
installation, I am using Ubuntu and Solaris, ubuntu machine is our test
server and solaries is production one.
I think you need to unblock firewall at all to your machine and
run this in your directory :
/uwc01/packages/dspace-1.5.2-src-release/dspace # mvn package
all should be fine

I am trying to get an instance of dspace 1.5.2 up and running on
a box
running SUSE Linux 11.1. However when I run the "mvn package",

My Internet connection is a bit slow and we do use a proxy.
