Hi Mariano, > The default advanced search interface seems to only allow the user to > enter three search terms. What if I want to provide one more box? Is it > doable?
Yes, but it would have to be done by editing the user interface and search code. It is not a configurable option that can be enabled 'out of the box'. > What if I want to search not "all of dspace", not on a single community > but on, say, 2 different communities at once? Doable? Again, not possible out of the box, but a competent Java programmer could add this facility in to DSpace. It could also be achieved by making sure that you structure your collections and communities well, so that any communities that you may wish to search together are grouped under the same parent community which is searchable. Sending to just that one means we don't all receive the question twice. It is confusing that we have several email lists, so apologies for that! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Let Crystal Reports handle the reporting - Free Crystal Reports 2008 30-Day trial.
