Hi, I have a DSpace instance running 1.5.2 in an Ubuntu 9.04. The default Tomcat is 6.x and comes with openjdk. Tomcat6's config file resides in /etc/default/tomcat6 and the line you mentioned reads:
JAVA_HOME=/usr/lib/jvm/java-6-openjdk I have tested the submit page and found no problem both in JSPUI and XMLUI. Am I misunderstanding something ?
