        Thank you for your help. I meant that I have tried ant init_configs
and ant fresh_install after changing dspace.dir = C:/dspace but still
getting the same error below.

I can not quite follow you. What do you mean with "checked"?

Just to make sure,

you edited
[dspace-src]/dspace/config/dspace.cfg
then you run mvn package
changed to
[dspace-src]/dspace/target/dspae-[version]-build.dir
and ran
ant update
and redeployed your application?

Did you ran ant init_configs too?
