Hello:

Concerning the problem that I mentioned below about logins in 1.6, with Stuart
Lewis' help, I discovered that it was the field: webui.session.invalidate in
the dspace.cfg that caused the behavior that I was seeing. If I specially set
that flag to "false" then I got the logins to work as they did in DSpace 1.5.2.

Subject: A question about DSpace 1.6 logins

Hi...

I just converted our test system to run DSpace 1.6 (we run DSpace 1.5.2 in
production), and I noticed something different about logins. I am not sure if
this is a change in functionality or if I have something set incorrectly.

In previous versions of DSpace, if one attempted to access a restricted
resource, they would be presented with a login screen. Once they logged in,
they would be immediately redirected to the restricted resource.

What is happening in my DSpace 1.6 instance is that I attempt to access a
restricted resource, I log in, but then I am thrown into my MyDSpace page. Is
there a setting that I need to set to get the function that I used to have or
is this the way it now works?
