I am new too. So here just my 2c. Please somebody corrects me if I am wrong.
Confusion #1: I'm assuming it should say the 1.6 source directory instead of 1.5? *I think you are right.* Confusion #2: In section 4.1 "5 : Update Configuration Files." I'm assuming the file to update is dspace.cfg? (looks like it, but "files" is plural and I want to make sure I'm not missing anything) *Right, but dspace.cfg is in multiple places. Also, there are other configuration files may need to be updated, such as xmlui.xconf. Probably that's the reason they use plural.* Do I update my existing, installed dspace.cfg file? or the new dscpace.cfg file provided in the 1.6 source? Or both? *I first tried updating my existing, installed dspace.cfg file. I soon got lost. So instead I used the new dscpace.cfg file provided in the 1.6 source as the basis and put whatever localized information in the existing dspace.cfg to the new dspace.cfg file. It takes some time to make it work.* I'm assuming just (or at least) [dspace]/config/dspace.cfg because that's what's targeted by ant in step 8? *I think [dspace-source]/dspace/config/dspace.cfg is used by default instead of [dspace]/config/dspace.cfg**.
