Hi Renata,

you will need to go through 2 steps:

1. when you indicate that your new set of metadata doesn't exist in the
system, does that mean that these fields are currently not being used in
your input-forms, or that they are also not included in your metadata
registry ? In the second case, your first step is to create those fields in
your metadata registry, or just choose unused fields there, that you would
like to use for this new information.

2. By customizing your input-forms.xml, you can decide where and how these
new fields should be filled out in the submission form for that collection.

If some of these fields need to contain default data, you might also want to
create a template on the level of your collection, indicating these pre
defined values.
