Lewatle, You always need to follow all upgrade steps to perform a successful upgrade of DSpace.
If you do *not* run the appropriate *.sql script, then your database will not be upgraded properly. Also, the system will likely not function properly, as you'll be running a DSpace 1.6.1 user interface against a DSpace 1.5.2 database. You'll likely see a lot of errors appear. - Tim On 7/19/2010 2:25 AM, Lewatle Phaladi wrote: > Hi Dspace Team > > Can anyone tell me what will be the results if I am doing DSpace-1.5.2 > upgrade to 1.6.1 upgrade and I happen to not run the following script : > psql -U dspace -f > /dspace-1.6-1-src-release/dspace/etc/post-gres/database_schema_15_16.sql > dspace > > Or dspace-source]/dspace/etc/oracle/database_schema_15_16.sql > > Your reply is always appreciated. > > Regards, > > Lewatle > > This communication is intended for the addressee only.
