Hi, I have a DSpace 1.6 install on CentOS 5.4 OS. The system has a 'dspace' user account and the install is done within dspace user's home directory. We have two other users accessing dspace install and they are using their own system accounts for logging in. These users are included in the 'dspace' system group and dspace install has group write-execute permissions (g+rwx).
I noticed that some logs files for cocoon.log and checker.log have non-dspace user permissions. The tomcat doesn't like it and returns errors during startup as it doesn't own these files. I am wondering what changed permissions on these files. This is a test install and we haven't done much beyond import command. Does import command work through xmlui interface and hence cocoon.log permissions are different now? Also, any suggestions for sharing dspace install with a group of system users? -- Thanks, Shantanu. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Beautiful is writing same markup.
