Hi Fred,
When you're logged in as anonymous can you view the affected collection, the
items in that collection, and download the full bitstreams?
I'm thinking that some permissions of the collection might not have allowed
anonymous read, and items inherit the collections settings, so in that case,
when the thumbnails were generated they didn't allow anon-read. This might
be able to be remedied through some SQL to add read permissions to anonymous
for all the bitstreams in there.
