Hi,
     Can someone tell me what the implications of setting parameter
"search.maxfieldlength" to -1 in dspace.cfg would be in DSpace 1.7, XMLUI? The
default value is 10,000 and it states:

# Maximum number of terms indexed for a single field in Lucene.
# Default is 10,000 words - often not enough for full-text indexing.
# If you change this, you'll need to re-index for the change
# to take effect on previously added items.
# -1 = unlimited (Integer.MAX_VALUE)
search.maxfieldlength = 10000

We certainly want to have accurate full-text search results to be as accurate
as possible, but we want to keep performance in mind as well.

Any thoughts would be appreciated!

Thanks and Happy Holidays,
Sue
