Hi Lewatle, It sounds like you are likely using Maven 2.0.x to build DSpace 1.7? There is a "known issue" (discovered shortly after the DSpace 1.7.0 release) with Maven 2.0.x and DSpace 1.7. The fix is to upgrade Maven to use Maven 2.2.x or above.
