It is very important that I receive feedback on this question of Shibboleth
authentication and protected bitstreams. I have not received any news from this
list as of yet, so please forgive me for reposting. If your institution uses

The scenario below specifically describes the question:
An item with one or more above threshold bitstreams where the authorization is
set at the bitstream level to require authentication. When the unauthenticated
user clicks on the above threshold bitstream, a redirect and a message takes
the user to the login page where Shibboleth login is selected.
What behavior should occur in the browser after the login? If it is a bitstream
that is below the threshold, the bitstream will display in the browser window,
but since the scenario above describes an above threshold file, the bitstream
is downloaded as an attachment. What happens in the browser window in that case?
