A bit more info on this

The URL in the last mail wouldn't have worked, but:

http://image-projects-test.lib.ed.ac.uk/oai/request?verb=ListRecords&resumptionToken=0001-01-01T00:00:00Z/9999-12-31T23:59:59Z/hdl_123456789_1092/lido/100

Is good for the 100 and 200, but at 300 I get

HTTP Status 500 -

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

type Status report

message

description The server encountered an internal error () that prevented it from
fulfilling this request.

In the catalina.out log, there is a

java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException

But no further information than that.

Subject: Harvesting Failure

Hi folks,

I'm running a harvesting test, and have a repository with 2746 items to be
harvested. My colleague, who is harvesting the data, is getting failures of the
following type:

"the distant server returned an error : (500) internal error" (translation from
french of the message below).

He asks:

Are you sure your resumption tokens are built in the correct way ? I tried to
harvest "manually" your repository but I didn't succeed to go further than the
100 first records.

1st trial :
http://image-projects-test.lib.ed.ac.uk/oai/request?verb=ListRecords&metadataPrefix=lido&set=hdl_123456789_1092

2nd trial :
http://image-projects-test.lib.ed.ac.uk/oai/request?verb=ListRecords&metadataPrefix=lido&set=hdl_123456789_1092&resumptionToken=0001-01-01T00:00:00Z/9999-12-31T23:59:59Z/hdl_123456789_1092/lido/100

and it fails whatever I keep or take off from the resumption token.

Did you try to harvest yourself your own repository ?

I haven't done anything other than the default here- the harvester will only
serve 100 records at a time, and I notice from looking at the first, the
resumption token appears to be generated. I admit I've not done anything with
them before though- all previous harvests from our repositories have been small
(say 300 records), and haven't caused any problems, but I shouldn't assume that
would mean everything would be fine!

If anyone has any ideas what I can do to fix this, I'd be very grateful.

Thanks
Scott
