I have been working with the manakin interface of dspace. I edited the dspace.cfg file to account for the additional metadata that I wanted users to browse by. Then I edited the message.xml ([dspace]/webbapps/xmlui/i18n/messages.xml) and rebuilt dspace. Instead of displaying the proper wording, the page displays the xml description. I enclosed a screenshot in the link below.
