Hi,
Has anyone implemented Single Sign-on authentication with DSpace? We are
trying to accomplish this with DSpace 1.5.1 with Sun Open SSO and are having
some troubles. We use Sun Webserver 7 (not Tomcat) and have been successful in
getting the authentication to occur, but once it transfers to the DSpace
application, it gets a 403 Server error.

We are getting warnings in the web server log about initializing the log4j file
(I’m not sure what’s causing this b/c the log4j.properties files is
under/dspace/config and it’s specified in dspace.cfg), but that’s it:

and here is what we’re getting in the Web server access log:

[15/Apr/2011:12:55:12 -0400] "GET /index.jsp HTTP/1.1" 302 0
[15/Apr/2011:12:55:13 -0400] "GET /index.jsp HTTPS" 403 142

And here is the only thing that’s showing up in the dspace.log:

2011-04-15 12:54:27,122 DEBUG org.apache.jasper.servlet.JspServlet @ PWC5964:
Scratch dir for the JSP engine is: /usr/local/xxxxxx/dspace/generated/dspace
2011-04-15 12:54:27,123 DEBUG org.apache.jasper.servlet.JspServlet @ PWC5966:
IMPORTANT: Do not modify the generated servlets

Does anyone have any ideas of what our problem might be?

Thanks in advance.
Best regards,
Sue
