*1. Setting up your customization environment *
Introduction to the modification of an XMLUI theme using the DSpace binary
release.
*2. Eliminating functionality from the XSL's *
To point you in the right direction to make basic customizations to the XSL
files, we will show you how to remove the top search box in your navigation
bar, as well as recent submissions from the DSpace frontpage.
*3. Introduction to Mirage CSS Editing *
After an overview of the different relevant CSS files in Mirage, examples
will illustrate how to change your repository's colour scheme and DSpace
header logo.
*4. Using CSS to optimize browser compatibility *
In previous XMLUI themes it was required to write browser specific style
sheets to ensure proper support for all browsers. This has been changed in
Mirage with Modernirz. Examples will illustrate how browser compatibility
can be improved, while still having the possibility to use new features of
modern browsers.
*5. Working with Javascript in Mirage *
Mirage has a specific way of including and loading Javascript. We will
explain the rationale behind this approach and show examples of including
custom Javascript.
