Ahmed,

DSpace doesn't use Solr or Lucenes innate and full featured
capabilities to index document files and instead uses a separate stage
to attempt to extract the text from documents via a command called
filtermedia. Run filtermedia first to generate text extracts for all
your docs and they will be indexed from the generated text bundle in
your items into solr. Maybe one day we'll stop this archaic practice
and just let lucene/solr do the work they were designed to do and
index the original document.
