Hi Indu,
It sounds like somehow you have duplicate entries in your
'collection2item' database table. I'm not sure how that could have
occurred. But you might want to check that table and ensure that there
are no duplicate rows (containing the same collection_id and item_id).
As for your author & advisor display, you can customize your XMLUI theme
OR JSPUI (depending on which you are using) to only display authors if
you wish.
(I'm actually forgetting on how to do this with the JSPUI -- hopefully
someone else can help out if you are using the JSPUI. It's admittedly
been a while since I've used it.)
If you are working with the XMLUI, you'd want to look for the XSLT with
the <xsl:template match="dim:dim" mode="itemSummaryList-DIM"> and
customize the metadata displayed there.
To disable display of other contributors, you'd want to comment out the
part that says:
<xsl:when test="dim:field[@element='contributor']">
<xsl:for-each select="dim:field[@element='contributor']">
<xsl:copy-of select="node()"/>
<xsl:if
test="count(following-sibling::dim:field[@element='contributor']) != 0">
<xsl:text>; </xsl:text>

</xsl:when>
Depending on which Theme you are using, that XSLT will be either:
* for 'dri2xhtml' themes (Classic, Kubrick, Reference):
/themes/dri2xhtml/DIM-Handler.xsl
* for 'dri2xhtml-alt' themes (Mirage):
/themes/dri2xhtml-alt/aspect/artifactbrowser/item-list.xsl

If you run into issues with XSLT, you may find the Mirage theme easier
to work with, as it uses many separate XSLT files (rather than one big
