Hi Sean,
the navigation.xsl will treat the statistics option box just the same as the
other options.
see navigation.xsl from either the dri2xhtml-alt or Mirage.
https://github.com/DSpace/DSpace/blob/dspace-1.7.2-correct/dspace-xmlui/dspace-xmlui-webapp/src/main/webapp/themes/dri2xhtml-alt/core/navigation.xsl
This is what the option (in the navigation bar) looks like in the DRI:
<list id="aspect.statistics.Navigation.list.statistics" n="statistics">
<head>Statistics</head>
<item><xref target="/xmlui/handle/123456789/6659/statistics">View
Statistics</xref></item>
</list>
The option box for statistics is being generated by the Statistics aspect
part of the XMLUI in general. (so this is not theme specific).
https://github.com/DSpace/DSpace/tree/dspace-1.7.2-correct/dspace-xmlui/dspace-xmlui-api/src/main/java/org/dspace/app/xmlui/aspect/statistics
Hope this helps you in your search.
with kindest regards,
Bram Luyten
