Hi,
Hilton Gibson has a pretty good write-up on this:
http://wiki.lib.sun.ac.za/index.php/SUNScholar/Prepare_Ubuntu#Step_5.2.1:_Setup_Tomcat_ports
If you read through that guide several times, you should have a pretty good
handle on how to do things.
