Jesus,

We had very specific requirements we needed to meet, and so I wrote a perl cgi
that can be accessed via the collection edit page if you are an administrator.
I have this running in the jspui interface and so if you are using manakin,
you're going to have to figure out how to change that code to get access to the
cgi. I had to add and modify a few new DEBUG statements to the log files for
our needs. I have some notes on what I did and I can share this with you if
you are interested. There was quite a bit of work done on this, and I have it
documented somewhat, but there would be a learning curve to get it going at
your institution.

We also signed up for google analytics and put the required javascript in the
footet-default.jsp and forroter-item.jsp files. That was something quite
simple to do. Perhaps that might meet your needs?

-Jose

Subject: [Dspace-tech] alternative to solr statistics

Hi!

I've been wondering if there is some kind of alternative to solr
statistics, due to the high load of ram to our system (514 millions of
records) which it's not easy to scale and it's very very slow. So...Has
someone done some work on an alternative?

Thanks in advance,

Regards,

Jesús
