Hey,
I'm not doing anything in particular with jQuery, but it's installed and
used already by DSpace's XMLUI web interface:
https://github.com/DSpace/DSpace/tree/master/dspace-xmlui/dspace-xmlui-webapp/src/main/webapp/static/js
So yes... it plays nice with jQuery. :)
