Hello, All,

I know that deleting an item can use "[dspace]/bin/import --delete
--mapfile=mapfile". The documentation also says that "

9.7.6. Deleting Registered Items

If a registered item is deleted from DSpace, either interactively or by using
the --delete or --replace flags described in Importing
Items<http://www.dspace.org/1_5_2Documentation/ch09.html#docbook-application.html-importingitems>,
the item will disappear from DSpace but it's registered content files will
remain in place just as they were prior to registration. Bitstreams not
registered but added by DSpace as part of registration, such as license.txt
files, will be deleted."

All the files imported stored in "assetstore" directory.
It seems to me that using the above command line only remove the item from
database, but not permanently from "assetstore". Is there another way to
permanently delete an item?

Thanks,

Yan
