I found the docs in the email archive that showed me the solr issue was the
setting for localhost. So I can get to solr via the actual localhost ok.

But I'm still puzzled by the 404 error for SWORD, OAI, LNI.

Pointers?

Thanks.

Subject: [Dspace-tech] Solr, SWORD, OAI, LNI config in Dspace 1.7

I've got an instance of Dspace 1.7 running on RHEL6.

Dspace lives in /usr/local/dspace. The webapps were copied into the existing
tomcat instance per the install direction, so they live over in
/$CATALINA_HOME/webapps/

JSPUI and XMLUI appear to be working correctly. I can add items, configure
groups, search, browse.

However while links to Solr, SWORD, OAI, or LNI all appear in the apps list of
the Tomcat web manger, clicking Solr gives a 403 - no permission to access
error, while the other 3 give a 404 - not available error. (Solr may be the
odd one out here because there was an existing Solr instance on this server
earlier and it may have left a trace or tow around that I haven't seen yet).

So is there something I missed that I should have told Tomcat about? I thought
if these were copied under webapps they would just be a happy part of the
existing Tomcat.

So do I need to add corrected paths somewhere in Tomcat? Or does that happen
somewhere under /usr/local/dspace?

Thanks for any pointers.
