Hi, this portion of the stack trace indicates that DSpace is having problems 
creating a new file in your assetstore:

Caused by: java.io.IOException: No such file or directory
            at java.io.UnixFileSystem.createFileExclusively(Native Method)
            at java.io.File.createNewFile(File.java:883)
This could be because the ownership or permissions of the assetstore folder are 
insufficient for the DSpace user to create a file there. Or for some other 
reason the folder is not writable. Depending on where that storage is located, 
you may need to enlist the help of system administrators to diagnose the issue. 
I know our SAN has occasional problems with suddenly going read-only, perhaps 
that is what is happening here?
