Thanks for reporting your finding. Not to switch gears, but have you taken
a look at the work on the dspace-rest api done by Hedtek?
https://github.com/hedtek/dspace-rest
They've essentially picked up dspace-rest where the community left off, and
have put in an incredible amount of work to make it work better. They've
modified it to be GET / read only.
