It is sensible to use a newer Handle server release, if you wish.  But
We run two Handle servers on one host using the version distributed
with DSpace.  Each instance of the Handle server runs on that virtual
host's IP address, so they don't interfere with each other.

If the "bind_address" property of each service in each repository's
config.dct is set to the address of the corresponding virtual server,
there should be no collisions.

That won't work with name-based virtual hosting.  But then, there are
quite a number of things that won't work with name-based virtual hosting.
