OK - so I have used the instructions that are included here on page 219:
http://www.dspace.org/images/documentation/DSpace-Manual_1_8.pdf
to add PDF thumbnails.
When I built dspace with:
mvn -Pxpdf-mediafilter-support package
I got no errors, and...
ant -Dconfig=/dspace/config/dspace.cfg update
...seemed happy, too.
When I put in the lines that are supposed to go in the dspace.cfg file and
run ./dspace filter-media, there is no output, it just returns to the
prompt and there are no PDF thumbnails. When I return the config file to
stock, thumbnails of the JPG files I am using for test get generated and
are visible on the web page.
Is there somewhere else besides dspace's logs to look for errors?
