I used the WoK API to dynamically retrieve the citation counts, but it can be also used for document lookups by various criteria and perhaps other things. Don't forget to register for an API key, otherwise it won't work. This post got me started [1] and the official information seems to be here [2]. Just do a Google search on Web of Science API and you'll find enough examples.
