I'm new to dspace. Couple of questions on searching/indexing content:
1) Is it possible to get search results to show solr highlighting in dspace
1.8 in xmlui on a field like dc.description.abstract?
2) how would I go about doing this for attached documents as well? (I think
it means I have to store the field and maybe investigate some other solr
parameters -- but just wondering if people have done this with dspace or
have any comments on this in general)
3) do people use anything besides xmlui, jspui?
On 1) and 2):
I have already enabled the discovery module and indexed a test record and
an attached document.
When I search for a term in either the metadata or the attached pdf I get
search hits, but no highlighting / snippets show in the results.
I can make solr return highlighting on dc.descriptionwhen (item 1 above)
when I use the solr search interface directly using query parameters hl and
hl.fl (localhost:8080:/solr/search/admin/form.jsp) so I know that solr can
already do 1) just not sure how easy to get it into xmlui.
