Hey everyone,
I recently setup IP authentication for one of our collections. I've been
testing it without much in the line of results though.
What I did was:
1) Create a group, Restricted_Access
2) Edited dspace.cfg with authenticate.ip.Restricted_Access = 142.66, /
142.110.191,
3) I then added the IPauthentication plugin to the stack which now says:
plugin.sequence.org.dspace.authenticate.AuthenticationMethod = \
org.dspace.authenticate.PasswordAuthentication, \
org.dspace.authenticate.IPAuthentication
4) Restarted Tomcat
5) I checked to see that when I login to my DSpace instance that I am
showing up in the active groups.
6) I then change the bitstream permissions to only be read by
Restricted_Access on the item I've uploaded and when I go in it asks for a
username/password. When I set the item to default and the bitstream to
Restricted_Access it allows me to see the metadata and the bitstream.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
