We've got our box floated right and negative-top-bordered to move it up beside
the collection/community name (http://repository.unm.edu/handle/1928/10505),
but when I take our styles off, it moves all the way left (in its container)
and under the "Advanced Search" link. CSS really should suffice for what you
want to do. Assuming the structure is the same in (I think you're on 3?) as it
is in 1.6, it's already correct: the form code followed by the search by code.
I'm not sure any amount of structural change will do much to get you where
you're going....

Haven't figured it out with css, is there a way to do it with xsl? seems like
something that should be easy to change.

Hm. In 1.6 code, the browse div comes after the search form (both enclosed in
an outer div), so you should be able to arrange them with CSS. Maybe try a
float left? (That may not work since the next div up doesn't have a position
set.)

OK, I got that going. My next issue is reversing the order - having the search
box come up before the browse list. Any clues?

Good morning,

I'd probably go the easy route and use CSS. In DSpace 1.6, the selector looks
like:

div#aspect_artifactbrowser_CommunityViewer_div_community-browse h3.ds-head,
div#aspect_artifactbrowser_CollectionViewer_div_collection-browse h3.ds-head

for the Community and Collection browse box.

I'm trying to make the collection/community browse display look like this:

<strong>Browse by:</strong> Title Author Subject Date

I almost have it, but I can't see how to make the "Browse by;" bold and indent
it to the left.

I added these 5 things into a List in CollectionViewer:

        browse.addContent("Browse by:");

AND this for the browse types

            browse.addItemXref(super.generateURL(url + "/browse", queryParams),
                       message("xmlui.ArtifactBrowser.Navigation.browse_" +
bix.getName()));

how do I add a class to "browse.addContent("Browse by:");", so that I can later
make changes to in the style sheet.

Many thanks!
Jose
