That's very strange, they don't look like complete dspace and tomcat log files, those are much more verbose. Did you send just a part of those files? So what is the problem? Is it that DSpace doesn't start at all? That could be the reason why dspace.log is empty. If you didn't define path to DSpace webapps correctly, Tomcat would still start up fine, but not DSpace. What is your configuration of DSpace webapp contexts and are their files actually located in the defined directories? These is the configuration what I'm asking about (all such Contexts): <Context path="/xmlui" docBase="/dspace/webapps/xmlui" /> As Sue previously responded, you don't have to worry about the log4j warning, it should be harmless.
