Hi Chenche,

please always CC dspace-tech when replying.

The functionality to detect duplicities is not currently available in
DSpace. Such feature has been requested before and I'm asking about
your definition of a duplicity in order to gather the requirements for
such a feature.

Your definition of a duplicity is very ambiguous. In fact, you're not
saying at all what the two items have in common - you're saying that
although they have different authors, they should be considered the
same item! I hope you can see how this wouldn't work in general.

At this time my understanding is that the definitions of a duplicity
are very different for various users and the method for comparison of
two items would have to be implemented as a plugin. That could also
make it rather slow.
