Wijiti has released the REST API for DSpace 1.8 and 3.0. The latest update includes new features such as the ability to add new items and delete existing items and bitstreams. Please note that the item create feature requires a modification to the core DSpace code; full details will be provided on the JSpace wiki page shortly with another mailing list post to follow the when it is ready.
