Do you mean the thumbnail image? You will need to start running the media filters: https://wiki.duraspace.org/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=32474041 and https://wiki.duraspace.org/display/DSDOC3x/Configuration#Configuration-ConfiguringMediaFilters Usually this is done as a scheduled job via cron or the like that runs overnight. I think you'll also need to make sure that the emphasis for the mirage theme is set to 'file' in dspace.cfg: https://github.com/DSpace/DSpace/blob/dspace-3.1/dspace/config/dspace.cfg#L1743 Note that the standard media filters only generate thumbnails for image files (the item in your screenshot contains a JPEG file, that's what the thumbnail shows).
