I can see no obvious problem. canEditItemInWorkflow() is a new static method both added and called by the patch. It's called as a static method, too. First thing I'd try is clearing the Cocoon cache because who knows how it caches old Flowscript files? If that doesn't help, second thing I'd try is to run "mvn clean package" and see if it starts working. If it still doesn't work, send us the full stack trace.
