yes we can (sounds like the president Obama) :-) First, get from source code deployed in your webapp the original message.properties. Follow this step: 1)find dspace-api-xxx.jar in yourwebapp>/WEB-INF/lib 2)decompress it in an external folder 3)get the message.properties file. Now, copy the message.properties in <yourwebapp>/WEB-INF/classes folder, do your changes, stop and start tomcat. Hope this help.
